Welcome to MASS Co.
Welcome everyone to the MASS Co website. Every year the IEEE southeast region gets together and holds a conference. This conference consists of many informational seminars, but also includes a hardware competition. Normally the hardware competition is based off a real-life problem and consists of a robot set out to resolve this real-life problem. The rationale for this year’s hardware competition comes from college campus parties. Trash and recyclables after a college party are dispersed throughout the campus and as a result degrades student life and campus morale. The robot must “navigate around campus” to recycle certain cans, plastic bottles, and glass ware.   The robot must locate, obtain, and sort all the recycles on the field in the least amount of time to win the IEEE southeast Hardware competition. So thus it becomes MASS Co.’s goal to build a robot, enter the IEEE southeast conference, and win the competition.
